BOOK YOUR CLASSStarting yoga can feel intimidating, especially if you feel stiff, are not naturally flexible or have never attended a class before. Iyengar Yoga offers a structured and accessible way to begin.
In my small home studio in Solihull, classes are limited to four students. This allows me to explain each pose clearly, observe your alignment and offer individual guidance throughout the class.
Iyengar Yoga places great importance on clear instruction, alignment and careful progression. You are not expected to know the poses or keep up with a fast sequence.
We use supportive props such as blocks, belts, chairs, bolsters and wall ropes to make poses more accessible and help you understand how they should feel in your body.
You will learn gradually, building strength, mobility, balance and body awareness without pressure to perform.

My beginner classes are limited to four students, so you will not feel lost in the room. I can explain each action, correct alignment and offer alternatives when needed.
There is no pressure to keep up with anyone else. You are encouraged to work steadily, ask questions and develop confidence at your own pace.

You will learn a small number of foundational poses with clear explanations. Classes usually include standing poses, gentle seated work, supported poses and relaxation.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Leggings, shorts or fitted trousers are helpful because they make alignment easier to observe.
