Alignment
Understand how to position your feet, legs, pelvis, spine and shoulders more effectively.
Small, supportive classes to help you stand taller, move more freely and build the strength and awareness needed for healthier posture.
BOOK YOUR CLASSPosture is not about holding yourself rigidly or trying to look perfectly straight. It is about creating enough strength, mobility and awareness for the body to feel balanced and supported.
In my small home studio in Solihull, classes are limited to four students. This allows me to observe how you stand and move, offer individual guidance and help you understand the small changes that can make a meaningful difference.
Iyengar Yoga uses precise instruction and supportive props such as blocks, belts, chairs, bolsters and wall ropes. These help you explore alignment carefully and understand where your body needs more support, mobility or strength.
We work with the whole body, including the feet, legs, pelvis, spine, shoulders and head. This helps you become more aware of habits such as slouching, rounded shoulders, uneven weight distribution or a forward-head position.
Rather than forcing the body into a fixed shape, the aim is to develop a more balanced and natural way of standing, sitting and moving.
Understand how to position your feet, legs, pelvis, spine and shoulders more effectively.
Build support through the abdomen, back and pelvis to help you feel steadier and more upright.
Strengthen the muscles around the shoulder blades to support the chest and shoulders.
Create more space across the chest and reduce the rounded posture linked with desk work.
Improve movement through the shoulders, hips and spine so upright posture feels less forced.
Recognise everyday habits and learn how to adjust your position with greater ease.
“Better posture is not about becoming rigid. It is about creating enough strength, space and awareness for the body to feel naturally supported.”
My classes are limited to four students, allowing me to observe your alignment closely and help you understand how your posture changes through different movements.
You do not need to be flexible or experienced. Beginners are welcome, and every student is encouraged to work gradually, thoughtfully and without pressure.
I am a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher, Level 1, currently training towards Level 2. I have more than 20 years of personal yoga practice and eight years of teaching experience.
I enjoy helping students understand their bodies step by step, particularly those who feel stiff, spend long hours sitting or want to improve how they stand and move.
My aim is to create a welcoming space where you can build strength, improve body awareness and develop healthier movement habits that support you in everyday life.
