BOOK A PRIVATE SESSIONPrivate Iyengar Yoga gives you the time and attention to work on what matters most to you. Every session is planned around your current ability, movement patterns, concerns and goals.
Whether you are completely new to yoga, returning after a break, managing stiffness or discomfort, or wishing to deepen your existing practice, one-to-one lessons offer a calm and focused way to learn.
Iyengar Yoga uses precise instruction and supportive props such as blocks, belts, chairs, bolsters and wall ropes. In a private session, these can be selected and adjusted specifically for your body.
We can spend more time on areas that need attention, repeat movements until they feel clear and adapt the pace of the lesson to suit you.
This creates space for questions, careful observation and steady progress without the pressure of keeping up with a group.
Every instruction, adjustment and use of props is tailored to your body and current needs.
Learn the essential actions and alignment of each pose with time to ask questions.
Focus on areas such as posture, strength, stiffness, balance or recurring discomfort.
Work steadily at a pace that feels appropriate, without needing to follow the speed of a group class.
Develop familiarity with the poses before joining a group or progressing to more challenging work.
Receive consistent guidance and a clear direction for developing your practice over time.
“Private yoga gives you the space to learn carefully, understand your body and develop a practice that truly supports you.”
Before we begin, we will discuss your experience, any relevant injuries or health concerns and what you would like to gain from the sessions.
I will then create a suitable practice and guide you through it step by step. As your understanding and confidence grow, the sessions can develop with you.
